Throughout Sunday 23 June, day of Sant Joan, Cervera streets filled with sounds, smells and dances as part of the celebration of Corpus.
The event, which was formerly the Festival Cervera, show traditional carpets of flowers in the old town. Besides, the procession will take place, Far bell ringing and the Holiday Parade, formed by Gypsy Dance, swords, giants, Eagle, deer, dragon, musicians, drummers ...
This year, the Corpus is part of the commemoration of Cervera Catalan Capital of Culture 2019, since one of the themes of the celebration is the will to recover and transmit traditional culture and bringing it to everyone.
The events will end with the festival of San Juan in the main square, where will the Canigó Flame, Cervera by the innkeeper, take that power from Tarrega. The flame will ignite the fire of torches and square neighborhoods organized bonfire. The arrival of the flame is scheduled to 20.15 hours.
