The switching on of the Christmas lights, an event organized by the Paeria de Cervera with the col·collaboration of the Nova Cervera Children's Choir on Friday 1 December, it was a success, with the attendance of many people in the Plaça Major.

In addition to the ignition, the event also included previous activities such as a lantern workshop and carol singing.

In the lamp making workshop, which was held in the Paeria Boardrooms, they participated 50 infants, all places available.
According to the paer in chief, Jan Pomés, "the organization of this activity goes along the lines of opening the Paeria to the public".

In the main square there were performances by the different groups of the Nova Cervera Children's Choir, who sang carols, and snacks were distributed to the attendees.

Then the countdown to the opening of the lights took place which was in charge of the father in chief, Jan Pomés, councilors of the Consistory and members of the board of the Association of Merchants Endavant de Cervera.

The main novelty is the decoration of the facade of the Paeria, with floral ornaments and two deer (symbol of the city), and the reinforcement of the lighting in the Plaza Mayor.
The figures of the deer, created by the Cerver artist Xavi Badia, and the structure that supports them is expected to be used in other festive events in the city.
