The Villa Book Cervera, has held 19 i 20 October, This year focuses on the literature of war as a seed of peace.
Coinciding with the Catalan Capital of Culture 2019 Cervera and commemorate 80 years of the end of the Civil War and the beginning of World War II, literary festival in western Catalonia invites you to make the motto “more books, fewer conflicts”.
writers, author, shows, exhibitions and artists form a series War to discover what is the relationship between literature and armed conflict, and what lessons we leave the books to build a future in which the word wins the conflict. Part of the cycle, prominently, Poetry Gabriel Ferrater; Club Editor, making 60, and has a close relationship with war, will explain how its editor Maria Bohigas; and the news of independent publishers in relation to war, and they are not few that make several tables and events throughout the weekend.

L’any 2019 the centenary of two prominent figures in twentieth-century Catalan culture, Teresa Pàmies and Joan Brossa, Book Villa and adhere to their respective tributes. This effort, both have a strong presence in the program, either in the form of workshops, performances i recitals, Trash; or exhibitions and shows, Teresa Pàmies, the figure which will close the festival with a tribute concert by Big Mama Montse.
As always, the market for independent publishers play a central role in the village, both its importance and its location, extended along the main street of Cervera. In this year, more 30 publishers and booksellers mounted stop there and take part in activities organized. During the weekend will take place, too, Charms for Book, shows, exhibitions, storytelling, recitals, workshops for the whole family and dining area.
