Sunday 1 March marks the start of the 41st Cycle of Spring Concerts, organized by the Association of Friends of Music of Cervera, with “The best duet for baritone and bass”, at the Municipal Auditorium, them 17.30 hours.

An opera can be written in four days? This is how the opera begins “First the music and then the words”, de Salieri. And so the concert begins “Opera duos”, a selection of the best scenes for baritone and bass performed by Toni Marsol and Josep Ferrer, two of the great consolidated soloists of the Catalan music scene who regularly take part in important operatic productions, accompanied on the piano by the brewer pianist Jordi Castellà.
Funny comic duets, large arias, historical scenes and passages of true vocal virtuosity. All of them fragments that are usually performed in large theaters, staged this time with the closeness and complicity of the audience that allows a chamber music recital.

The concert will include works by Salieri, Mozart, Verdi, Rossini, Cimarosa i Donizetti.
