The second Cervera Christmas Market, which took place on Saturday 11 December on Guinedilda Street, continued the edition that was organized in the old town, in the main square, last Sunday 5 December.

The programming of the two events featured complementary activities such as carol singing with the Lacetania Choir, an inflatable for children, tourist visits, a gymkhana and raffles of lots of local products.
Besides, the Market of the day 5 coincided with the first edition of the Playmóbil Fair in Cervera, which was visited by a large number of children and families in the historic building of the Farinera del Sindicat.
According to the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Ramon Augé, "The event at the Union started the project to organize Fira Cervera competitions to revitalize the city". As for the Christmas Markets, Augé emphasizes that "the Paeria organizes them in order to support the city's trade and is grateful for the involvement of trade associations and participating entities".
The Plaza Mayor Market was affected by strong winds, which forced the stalls to be set up under the porches and the inflatable for the children suspended. Despite this, the stalls were able to sell their products and the final balance was positive.
The Association of Merchants and Professionals of the old town organized a gymkhana for shops on the high street. A batch of products was raffled among the participants, what is Arnau Balcells Carrillo going to play.
Three lots of local products were also raffled off among all the people who made purchases above 5 euros. They are going to touch Núria López, Concepción Boldú and Humildad Hernández.
The gifts were given by the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Ramon Augé; and two members of the Old Town Merchants Association, Rosa Puig and Mar Gasull.

Exhibition of Christmas elements in the church of Sant Joan
Last Saturday 4 the Christmas Elements Exhibition opened in December, in the church of St. John, in an event organized by the Paeria and the Association of nativity scenes of Cervera.
The exhibition includes: work done by students from schools in Cervera; a sample of the clothing of the Little Shepherds; and the nativity scene “La Sagrada Família, lights and shadows ”, made by the Creus Sarri family, winner of the nativity scene diorama mode on 2018.
