The chief paer, Jan Pomés, and the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Raimond Fusté, they presented, Monday 27 November, the six activities that the Paeria will organize these holidays with the aim “that all citizens experience the magic of Christmas in Cervera”.

According to Jan Pomés, the objective of the Paeria is “dignify the celebration of Christmas in Cervera and turn the city into a landmark in the Terres de Lleida”.

In this way, the main novelties were the lighting ceremony of the Christmas lights and a renewed Christmas Market.

The lighting of the Christmas lights will have a central event this year in Plaça Major, on s’instal·a new element will be added to the facade of the Paeria and the lighting of the square will be strengthened. This new structure, which will represent one of the symbols of the city, it is designed so that it can also be used in other festive events.
The lighting ceremony will be on Friday 1 December, them 17.30 hours. It is complemented by a free prior workshop on making Christmas lanterns, which will be held in Paeria. After the lighting there will be a carol singing with the Nova Cervera Children's Choir and a popular chocolate bar.

This year's Christmas Market will have a different format as it will occupy Plaça Santa Anna, Carrer Major and Plaça Major. It will collect more than 50 parades, both local trade and stallholders from outside, that will sell flowers, craft products, of food, decoration, antiques…. There will also be a craft show, an animal pen, giant games, musical performances, Gymkhana, workshops, pairings, a performance by Grepp Teatre, nativity exhibitions, Nadal broth…
The Market will be on Saturday 9 of December and will be open from 11 a 20 hours.

The Christmas Park, the multipurpose hall, will again offer a leisure space for children and young people. It will open from 27 al 30 of December and the days 3 i 4 January.
Various activities for young people will be organized in other spaces and municipal facilities: table games, l’inflable Crazy Jump Race, theater workshops, recreation area of ​​retro machines, escape game (scape room), Paint war (paintball), cinema, the console space “Game over”, a dramatized passage about the "Christmas Story" by La Caserna and the abseiling school.

Posters for other activities such as the Visit of the Page Karim were also presented at the press conference (Thursday 28 December), the New Year's Party and the Parade of Kings.

With the motto "Beer, city ​​of Christmas" six different posters have been produced but following a unitary image. They were created by the designer Anna Domenjó.
