In all this Christmas, Everybody, hear carols: to home, in the car, concerts or background in the meetings and family parties. Some of these songs are traditional carols; but it carols continue new. In fact, year, 4th grade students of the Conservatory are made Cervera "Christmas without snow", a carol on climate change.

The song speaks nostalgically of the lack of cold and snow on the streets, and makes an interpellation·installation directly on the urgency to act on climate change: "We are fighting for a world that is yours is mine and, you can choose your paper ". Students who have written the same age that the activist Greta Thunberg, generation involved in the sustainability of our planet.

The promoter of this carol is Spanish Jordi, professor of music center. "Christmas without snow" continues the project started teaching carols 2014 with "Let Christmas", which has already become a known and carol singing around the country. Both carols educational materials are available free of charge (partitures i bases instrumentals) which can be freely downloaded from the web www.jordicastella.cat.

The song can be heard on all digital platforms: Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music,… It is also recorded in video format (Youtube), thanks to the support·Marc support of Spanish. Christmas without snow had, so far, a great impact, accumulating thousands of reproductions, many of them close to Cervera but also other places like Barcelona, Girona, Madrid and Belgium. Also the international movement "Fridays for Future" has been interested in the use and dissemination of this song.

We hope that the music of "Christmas without snow" join us this holiday season and it is also our small contribution to saving the planet.
